Surgical Physician Assistant

The position involves supporting the surgical team in delivering exceptional patient care, with the opportunity to work in Orthopedics, General Surgery, Urology, or ENT.

Job Description

• Assist in various surgeries, including orthopedic, general surgery, urology, and ENT procedures.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the scope of practice.
• Assist in operating room setup and cleanup.
• Collaborate with the operative team and assist as directed by OR manager and charge nurses.
• Ensure proper sterile techniques are maintained at all times in surgery.
• Maintain effective verbal and written communication with patients, families, healthcare staff, and other departments.
• Provide exceptional customer service to patients and team members.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stretch for extended periods; lift up to 75 pounds; assist patients with mobility and transfers; and use proper body mechanics.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Physician Assistant in Orthopedics.
• Board Certified PA.
• Oregon state license.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work productively with others.

Shift Options

• Four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts per week.
• No weekend or on-call requirements specified.
