Join our team as a Pediatrician, where you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive medical care to pediatric patients. This position involves making preliminary diagnoses, directing treatment, and coordinating specialized care as needed.

Job Description

• Make preliminary diagnoses and provide treatment or arrange for specialized care or patient referral as required.
• Base decisions on information obtained, professional medical knowledge, and prescribed policies and procedures.
• Consult with other pediatricians or providers from other medical disciplines whenever necessary to clearly define a patient's problem and seek assistance for safe medical interventions.
• Make notes of observations to be incorporated into clinical records.
• Provide emergency care as required.
• Refer pediatric patients to appropriate contracted medical or other governmental facilities, providing full clinical information for care and diagnostic procedures that cannot be adequately provided at local IHS facilities.
• Coordinate and integrate information obtained into the ongoing health care program at the Service Unit and assure the provision of timely follow-up care as required.
• Prepare appropriate medical records for pediatric primary care patients to ensure the accumulation and organization of all pertinent clinical data needed for comprehensive medical care.
• Dictate clinical reports and correspondence concerning pediatric patients under care to physicians, hospitals, and other individuals and facilities.
• Evaluate patient symptoms, design treatment plans, educate the patient and family about their condition, and initiate care.
