    Job Description:

    • Join practice as a primary care provider and APP Trainer
    • Work in a hybrid role including training newly hired Advanced Practice Providers and providing medical services for patients
    • Full-time role with 20 hours of direct patient care and 20 hours of APP support, training, education, and professional development

    Training Responsibilities:

    • Supervise, train and evaluate new Advanced Practice Providers (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)
    • Perform chart reviews based on an established schedule:
      • All charts for the first month of a new hire's employment
      • Up to 10 chart reviews for each month following
    • Coordinate MAVEN services which include:
      • Coordinate CME educational sessions with site medical directors
      • Meet with APP assigned MAVEN mentor at designated times to begin after new APP's 3rd month of employment
    • Observe and shadow APP
    • Evaluate APP based on competencies including:
      • History taking
      • Physical exam skills
      • Analyzing data
      • Management/plan formation
      • Procedures
      • Problem solving hazards and biases
      • Medical practice and principles
    • Provide constructive feedback to APP for the course of two years and possibly longer as the APP develops the role
    • Support organizational compliance and training requirements and work with APPs to complete any required or newly required trainings
    • Participate in Administrative Projects as assigned by the Medical Director

    Clinical Responsibilities:

    • Provide direct medical care for four sessions per week, complete clinical administrative work four hours per week
    • Adhere to established protocols, respond to medical emergencies within the facility assigned
    • Assist/instruct other health care employees in the management of client care
    • Make referrals to health care professionals, specialists, other clinics, and community agencies
