    Job Description:

    • Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population.
    • Secures history and physical examination of patients in outpatient service.
    • Refers patients to specialists and relevant patient care components as appropriate.
    • Directs and coordinates the patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required.
    • Participates in specified health promotion, education, and/or prevention programs.
    • Utilizes laboratory and diagnostic services as necessary.
    • Performs emergency treatment in cases of serious illness or injury.
    • Participates in preventive medicine activities such as immunization, disease detection, and prevention.
    • Participates in an on-call rotation to provide timely support and resolution of urgent issues.
    • Participates in regular medical component meetings.
    • Fulfills the expectations of the physician contract.

    Requirements:

    • Current valid and unrestricted DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substance licensure for prescriptive authority.
    • Current CPR Certificate.
    • Must have completed full residency training as required by the specialty.
