    Job Description:

    • Join as a primary care provider and Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Trainer.
    • Work in a hybrid role with both training responsibilities and providing medical services.
    • Full-time role with 20 hours of direct patient care and 20 hours of APP support, training, education, and professional development.

    Training Responsibilities:

    • Train one to two new APPs, including nurse practitioners or physician assistants hired in the last two years.
    • Review all new-hire APP charts for the first month and a predetermined number of approximately ten APP charts monthly thereafter.
    • Coordinate with MAVEN services and precept, including direct observation and shadowing of APPs.
    • Evaluate APP competencies, including history taking, physical exam skills, data analysis, management/plan formation, procedures, problem-solving hazards and biases, and medical practice principles.

    Primary Care Responsibilities:

    • Provide medical care to patients with acute medical problems, chronic illnesses, or requesting preventive health services.
    • Examine patients, formulate diagnostic plans, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and implement treatment plans.
    • Perform procedures within the scope of reproductive/pregnancy health, including IUD and Nexplanon insertions/removals, cervical examinations, and prenatal care when appropriate.
    • Determine the need for consultation and assist in medical care and treatment provided by specialists.
    • Maintain and update Electronic Health Records (EHR) systematically and complete documentation within 48 hours.
    • Participate in after-hours and weekend call on a rotating basis as assigned.
