    Interventional Pain Physiatrist

    Location: Arlington, Virginia

    Job Description:

    • See non-surgical patients with pain complaints as well as pre and post-surgical patients.
    • See non-interventional spine patients and other acute and subacute musculoskeletal patients.
    • Work closely with spine surgeons and other physicians in the practice.

    Procedures:

    • Trigger point injections (medicine into the muscle)
    • Joint injections (often includes steroid component)
    • Nerve blocks
    • Epidural steroid injections (for nerve-related pain)
    • Medial branch block and radiofrequency ablation (RFA) (for pain due to arthritis)
    • Kyphoplasty (for fractures of the vertebra)
    • Spinal cord stimulation (an advanced form of therapy when injections/medications/surgery have not provided relief)
