    Audiologist

    Join our dynamic team at the Mansfield Multi-specialty Clinic and Urgent Care Center. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with children and their families, focusing on diagnosing hearing loss and enhancing functional hearing to facilitate learning and development.

    Job Description

    • Provide out-patient audiology services for all pediatric ages, including behavioral audiometry, auditory brainstem response, otoacoustic emissions, and infant newborn hearing screenings.
    • Evaluate and select hearing aids, including dispensing, testing, and repairs.
    • Recommend and implement plans in collaboration with families, speech pathologists, school personnel, specialists, and physicians.
    • Educate patients and caregivers, and consult with other professionals, clinics, and agencies within Cook Children's Health Care System and the community.
    • Document and correspond regarding services in accordance with department and system policies.

    Requirements

    • Clinical Doctorate degree in Audiology or PhD in Audiology.
    • Pediatric experience preferred.
    • BLS certification within 30 days of employment required.
    • State license for Audiology.
    • Certificate of Clinical Competence in audiology (ASHA) or Board Certified in Audiology (ABA) or eligibility to apply for either, which must be obtained within 12 months of hire to maintain employment at Cook.
