Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP)

Core Dermatology is seeking an experienced and dynamic Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) in our Peoria, IL and Galesburg, IL locations. This position will provide dermatologic care for a wide variety of patients and skin conditions.

Job Description

• Conduct general dermatology consultations and examinations for conditions such as rashes, mole checks, skin tag removal, lesions, acne, skin care, wound care, etc.
• Perform minor surgical procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, suturing, etc.
• Assess patient health status, including state of wellness.
• Order and interpret tests and write prescriptions.
• Provide laser treatments and workup, including treatment for veins, hair, tattoos, pigmented lesions, etc.
• Ensure compliance with care plans and determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Provide education to patients and families as appropriate and ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

• Current Illinois licensure as a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or eligible to obtain.
• Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
• 2+ years as a PA or NP preferred.
• Dermatology experience preferred.
