Nurse Assistant

Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other duties as assigned. Job Description

• Provide basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff.
• Perform duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other duties as assigned.
• Obtain information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff and report any changes in patient condition.

Requirements

• Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Required:
  • 3 months experience as a nursing assistant in an inpatient or long-term care setting, EMT, or Surgical Technologist in the past 3 years OR
  • Completed an Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Program within the past 3 years OR
  • Completed the "fundamentals of nursing" course with clinical in an accredited nursing program or practical nursing education program OR
  • Must have Missouri CNA License OR
  • Must have MO CNA Appendix AND MO CNA license must be obtained within 120 days of hire.

Overview of Unit/Department

900 Surgical is a 30-bed adult medical-surgical unit specializing in post-operative care for gastrointestinal (GI) and genitourinary (GU) surgical patients. We are also proud to be recognized as a Center of Excellence for bariatric surgery.

Our unit features a combination of private and semi-private rooms designed for comfort and healing. While we do not offer telemetry or cardiac monitoring, our dedicated team provides high-quality, patient-centered care with a strong emphasis on collaboration and teamwork.
