OBGYN Hospitalist

Join our team as an OBGYN Hospitalist, providing essential care in a hospital setting. This position requires availability for 24-hour call coverage and a commitment to patient care.

Job Description

• Work dates needed: Once credentialed, ongoing
• Preferred schedule: 24-hour call coverage
• Worksite setting: Hospital / Call: Must be available by phone within 5 minutes of being called by the hospital. If needed on-site, must present on-site within 15 minutes of the phone call.
• Scope of work: Average 11 patients per day. Cover ER consults, floor consults, labor and delivery, deliveries, emergent procedures, etc. Available via phone for our two office nurse practitioners who have any emergent questions about a patient they may need to send over to the hospital. Responsible for laboring patients, inductions, triage labor patients, ER consults, floor consults, trauma call, and following up on established OBGYN patients in the inpatient setting (Note: no OB Hospitalist program for backup).

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible
• Current Virginia medical license
• DEA certification

Additional Information

• EMR: eCW for outpatient, Meditech for inpatient (if not familiar with Meditech, be available in advance of their first coverage date for 1 hour onsite orientation)
• Travel: Provided
• Credentialing: 45-60 days
