Monday to Friday with weekend call rotation.

Job Description

• This position provides inpatient and clinic coverage.
• The schedule includes Monday to Friday clinic shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with a one-hour unpaid lunch.
• Clinic volume averages 18 to 20 patients per day.
• Weekend call coverage runs Friday evening through Monday morning.
• Hospital rounding typically includes 10 to 12 patients on Sundays.
• Consults are handled within 24 to 48 hours unless urgent.
• No procedures are required.
• Patient population includes approximately 65 percent hematology and 35 percent oncology.
• The current team includes two oncologists and four advanced practice providers.
• Advanced practice providers primarily manage hematology patients and rotate call duties, with an oncologist as backup.
• There is typically no expectation for urgent emergency intervention, as hospitalists manage most urgent needs.
• New consults may be addressed the next day unless flagged as urgent.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience preferred.
• Active State License or IMLC.
• BLS, ACLS, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology.
• Availability for 3 weeks per month or full-time preferred, ability to supervise APPs.
