Radiation Oncologist

This is an excellent opportunity for a Radiation Oncologist looking for long-term locum coverage in a well-equipped cancer center.

Job Description

• Start Date: Dec 8-12, Dec 15-19 and option to get this transitioned
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Call Schedule: 24-hour shared call (1:2 ratio) with one other physician
• Setting: Free-Standing Cancer Center
• Trauma Level: II
• Reason for Coverage: Physician turnover
• Current Team: 2 Radiation Oncologists & 1 NP for clinic support
• Other Radiation Oncologist Present During Coverage: Yes
• Outpatient (Clinic/Office): 10-15 patients/day
• Inpatient (Call/Rounding): None
• Patient Population: Adult & Hospital-Based
• Documentation System/EMR: Aria & Epic
• Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Med Staff will credential by start date; Payer enrollment 120 days

Requirements

• Required Procedures:
  • Conventional Radiotherapy
  • 3D Radiotherapy
  • External Beam Radiation (3D-CRT, IGRT, IMRT)
  • Stereotactic Radiosurgery
  • Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
  • Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy

Duties & Responsibilities

• Ordering tests & imaging
• Prescribing treatments
• Providing expert radiation oncology care
