Neurology Physician

Job Title: Physician Reviewer/Advisor

Job Description:

• Support Washington L & I Independent Medical Exams by reviewing medical records and performing physical exams.
• Address clinical questions regarding patient diagnosis and care.
• Provide reports promptly post-exam.

Requirements:

• Must hold a Washington medical license.
• Active practice and board certification in one of the following specialties: Orthopedic Surgery, Neurology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry), Chiropractic, Pain Management, Otolaryngology.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Accept cases on a contract basis, review medical records, conduct physical exams, and complete reports using AMA Guides to the Evaluation of Permanent Impairment, Sixth Edition.
• Return cases on or before the specified due date.
• Complete peer-to-peer calls as required based on client-specific protocol for additional information or clarification.
• Perform other duties as needed, including addressing clarifications and providing addendums with additional compensation.

• Enhance expertise in medical necessity and utilization review/management.
• Expand credentials as an expert in Independent Medical Exams and physician advisor services.
