    Endocrinology Clinician-Educator

    Join the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in the Department of Internal Medicine at Dell Medical School, where we are seeking a candidate for a full-time non-tenure clinician educator position for the UT Health Specialty clinic. This position will involve providing both inpatient consultation and outpatient clinical service.

    Job Description

    • Manage the full spectrum of endocrine conditions, including types 1 and 2 diabetes (including use of advanced technologies such as insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors), thyroid disorders (including thyroid cancer and its post-operative management), pituitary disorders (including pituitary tumors and their post-operative management), adrenal disorders, reproductive system disorders, disorders of calcium metabolism and bone, lipid disorders, and transgender medicine.
    • Participate in clinical time at the Federally Qualified Health Clinic that partners with Dell Medical School, with potential opportunities for leadership in the future.

    Requirements

    • MD or DO degree, with residency training in Internal Medicine, and fellowship training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience preferred.
    • Board certification or board eligibility (if within 2 years of fellowship completion) in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
    • Texas state medical license or eligibility for application.
    • Eligible for appointment at an Assistant or Associate Professor level.
    • Strong clinical and teaching skills.
    • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
    • Ability to work with community health systems and partners to develop innovative models of care and deliver outstanding care.
