**Job Description**

- The faculty will be responsible for the growth of a General Gastroenterology practice either at Ascension Seton or at the future site of The University of Texas Medical Center.
- The position will comprise inpatient gastroenterology consult service, outpatient clinics, and endoscopy.
- There are no scheduled outpatient clinics during inpatient weeks.
- The position includes protected time for academic activities and may include teaching residents.

**Requirements**

- MD degree with Board Certification (or Board Eligibility if within 2 years of residency) in Internal Medicine.
- Candidates with training in advanced endoscopy are encouraged to apply.
- Training and experience in quality improvement initiatives.
- Eligibility for appointment at the (Clinical) Assistant Professor level.
