    Cardiologist (Advanced Cardiac Imaging)

    The Viera, FL Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic is recruiting a non-invasive Cardiologist to provide a broad range of care to our Veterans and to help build an advanced cardiac imaging program to include cardiac CTA and cardiac MR. You will share responsibility for outpatient clinics, inpatient teaching rounds, and inpatient consultation, including ICU. Perform or interpret diagnostic studies such as echocardiography, TEE, event monitors, and ECGs. Provide support to inpatient services through consultations and to Primary Care providers via phone, e-consults, and outpatient consults.

    You will be supervising Internal Medicine Residents and Cardiology Fellows and are encouraged to pursue an academic appointment at the University of Central Florida. Board certification/board eligibility in Cardiology, cardiac CT, and Cardiac MRI required. If Board eligible, certification should be completed within 2 years of hiring. Echocardiography board certification is highly preferred. Fellowship training in advanced cardiac imaging (i.e., coronary CTA and cardiac MR) is strongly preferred. The tour of duty is Monday through Friday. On call is generally every 10-12 weeks when covering inpatient service! No outpatient or non-invasive study interpretation duties when on call.
