Academic Gastroenterologist

The Miami, FL Veterans Affairs Medical Center is recruiting Academic Gastroenterologists. We are an academic, teaching, high complexity medical center, affiliated with the University of Miami.

Opportunity to be actively involved in teaching and supervision of fellows, residents, and medical students. You will participate in the care of both inpatients and outpatients and perform & supervise the following procedures: Colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy; Upper endoscopy with biopsy, polypectomy, balloon, and savory dilation; Familiarity with variceal banding & Video capsule endoscopy is required. We welcome those with subspecialty interests in Advanced endoscopy, Inflammatory bowel disease, General Gastroenterology or GI motility.

Job Description

• Participate in the care of both inpatients and outpatients
• Perform and supervise procedures including colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy, upper endoscopy with biopsy, polypectomy, balloon, and savory dilation
• Familiarity with variceal banding and video capsule endoscopy is required
• Involvement in teaching and supervision of fellows, residents, and medical students

• A competitive academic salary for Miami: $335K-$400K per year depending on qualifications
• Annual performance bonus up to an additional $15K per year

• Licensure: 1 full & unrestricted license from any US State is permissible to work at this facility
• CME: $1,000 per year stipend (full-time employee) for reimbursement & 5 days paid absence for conferences, speaking engagements, etc.
