Job Description

• Work schedule: Monday-Friday 8-4:30 pm, no weekends or call
• BC/BE Family Medicine or Internal Medicine candidates
• Ability to mentor and supervise advanced practice providers
• Panel size is typically 1,200 (male and female)
• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnostic work-up, and clinic intervention, including comprehensive patient assessment, health history, physical examination, and patient education to veterans in the Primary Care team setting; outpatient includes both scheduled and unscheduled veterans
• Function as an integral part of a Primary Care multi-disciplinary team
• Establish a diagnosis and initiate appropriate response to emergency health problems
• Initiate appropriate referrals and consultations to other clinical services
• Order and evaluate diagnostic tests as appropriate, recommend treatment and/or referral
• Initiate, evaluate, and change orders for medications
• Include patient and family in planning care and establish realistic, measurable goals for health maintenance/improvement

Requirements

• Sign-on bonus is available
• Education Debt Reduction Program (Student Loan Repayment): Position eligible for up to $200,000 over 5 years with a maximum of $40K per year
• Paid Time Off: 50 days of annual paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year, and possible 5-day paid absence for CME)
• Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting)
• Federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA

Compensation Information

• $220,000.00 / Annually - $300,000.00 / Annually
