    Speech-Language Pathologist

    Job Description

    • Conduct patient assessments to evaluate speech, language, and swallowing disorders
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on assessment results
    • Provide speech therapy services to patients with various conditions, including but not limited to critical care, acute care, and pediatrics
    • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure effective treatment outcomes
    • Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
    • Educate patients and their families on speech therapy techniques and strategies for improving communication and swallowing abilities
    • Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and the principles of speech-language pathology in the evaluation and treatment process
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

    Requirements

    • Graduate of an accredited speech therapy program (minimum of MS-Speech Language Pathology)
    • Valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology
    • Prior experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred
    • Strong knowledge of patient assessment techniques and treatment modalities related to speech-language pathology
    • Ability to effectively manage a caseload and prioritize patient needs
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Strong interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
