Locum OBGYN MD needed in Laurinburg, NC. Current client! Have 4 locums working here now. Client will move fast!

Job Description

• Daily Rate + Call Back + All Travel Expenses
• EMR: Epic
• License: NC
• Certifications: BC or BE
• Scope of responsibilities includes daily rounds, labor and delivery, ER consults, hospitalist consults, etc.
• Volume differs
• Number of physicians in group: 4 OB/GYN, 3 Midwives
• Hospital details: 104 beds, no trauma level at this time
• Approximately 2-3 phone calls per on-call shift
• Required procedures include C-sections, deliveries, ectopic, gynecological emergencies, D&C, etc.
• The locum will be working with nurses, anesthesiologists, OB nurses, ER doctors, etc.
• Credentialing requires 2 years of case logs
• New grads will be considered after 2 years of practice within their specialty
• Expected schedule is fluid; some are weekdays, some are weekends. Most are 24-hour shifts (unless otherwise stated), with a start/end time of 7 am to 7 am.
• The on-call provider will be responsible for everything during their on-call schedule that a regular provider would be (i.e., normal births, C-sections, ER consults, hospitalist consults, etc.)
• Approximately 24% of the deliveries are C-sections
• High-risk pregnancies are delivered
• A Level 2 special care nursery is available
• BLS or any CPR certification is not required but is desired
• Credentialing takes 45-60 days
