Occupational Therapist (OT)

Location: Maryland

Job Description:

• Provide direct client care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, and potential for rehabilitation.
• Establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patient's capacity and tolerance.
• Apply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL).
• Teach clients new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable building blocks.
• Assess client's home and other environments and advise on alterations consistent with their needs and capabilities.
• Guide and educate family members and caregivers.
• Observe, note, and report on progress of long- and short-term treatment goals.
• Collect data and document processes followed.
• Regularly follow-up with clients.

Requirements:

• Completion of a Bachelor of Science or master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited academic program.
• A minimum of one (1) year of practice as a licensed Occupational Therapist in a clinical setting required.
• Current license to practice Occupational Therapy by the Maryland Board of Occupational Therapy Practice.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare provider BLS CPR certification.
