Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner PRN

Eagle View is looking for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners to join their team! We are seeking PRN staff for weekends and holiday help.

Job Description

• Provide general medical or psychological care and treatment to patients under the direction of a physician according to scope of practice guidelines.
• Perform history, physical examinations, and preventive health measures or initial psychological exams, admissions, and discharges on assigned patients.
• Provide consultation and liaison throughout the hospital facility; perform daily rounds on patients as directed by the supervising physician.
• Prescribe medications; provide clinical assessments and diagnosis; conduct individual, group, and family therapy.
• Work collaboratively with the medical/clinical staff under the guidelines of state licensure for Nurse Practitioners.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner Specialty degree or Master of Science in Nursing with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Specialty degree from an accredited school of nursing required.
• One or more years' experience as an RN with the patient population of the facility line of business required.
• Current Nurse Practitioner license required, per state regulations/requirements; may also require a current DEA license.
