Location: Ahoskie, North Carolina
Job Description:
- Calibrate and set up radiation therapy equipment.
- Position patients to ensure accurate treatments.
- Pinpoint radiation doses to tumor areas while minimizing exposure to normal and critical surrounding structures.
- Maintain daily quality assurance measures on linear accelerators and other departmental equipment.
- Instruct radiation therapy students, medical physics graduate students, medical residents, and other healthcare providers.
- Provide assistance on cancer research projects.
Requirements:
- Current RT (R) (T) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology.
- American Heart Association BLS Certification.
- Associate Degree or higher.
- Graduation from a Radiation Therapy Technologist program approved by the Council of Allied Health Education and Accreditation.
- Certification eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy Technology.
- All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Clinical Ladder:

Radiation Therapist I:
- 0-3 years related experience.

Radiation Therapist II:
- 3-10 years related experience.

Radiation Therapist III:
- 10+ years related experience.
Work Schedule:
- Primary Shift: Day
- Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm (schedule could possibly differ)
- On Call: No
- Weekends: No
