    Job Description:

    • Provides direct patient care by evaluation and treatment in patient population served according to age and condition.
    • Actively seeks to improve knowledge and skills of self and others.
    • Provides appropriate leadership and meets competency requirements.
    • Involved in team dynamics and participates in interdisciplinary activities when appropriate.

    Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate patients, set goals, design treatment programs, perform treatments, re-evaluate and modify treatments.
    • Participate in discharge planning and provide patient/caregiver education.
    • Ensure patient safety in treatment areas and correct/report unsafe conditions.
    • Complete documentation promptly, accurately, and thoroughly.
    • Communicate and interact with other healthcare professionals and patient/caregivers appropriately.
    • Meet clinical productivity standards.
    • Assist in policy development, revision, implementation, and enforcement.
    • Participate in mandatory inservices/meetings and orientation of personnel.
    • Contribute to program goals, budgeting, staff utilization, and quality improvement.

    Requirements:

    • Graduation with a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree from an APTA Accredited school of Physical Therapy.
    • Current valid license or eligible for licensure for Physical Therapy by The North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
