    Nursing Supervisor (RN)

    Elderwood at Grand Island is seeking high-quality, compassionate RN Supervisors to be on the front lines, making a difference in the lives of our residents and their families. This position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus for full-time Nursing Supervisors and $5,000 for part-time. Shifts available are from 2-10 PM or 10 PM-6 AM, with both full-time and part-time options. Reduced tolls are available for employees crossing the Grand Island Bridge.

    Job Description

    • Assist with ensuring the health and well-being of residents by being responsible for nursing care rendered at the facility during the assigned shift.
    • Supervise nursing personnel on each unit and perform additional duties assigned by the Director of Nursing Services.
    • Respond immediately to residents' requests.
    • Supervise nursing care services and staff on all units while on duty.
    • Actively promote facility safety programs.
    • May assume responsibility as the Infection Preventionist Nurse.
    • Assume responsibility for nursing services in the absence of the Assistant Director of Nursing Services and/or Director of Nursing Services.

    Requirements

    • Possession of a state license in the applicable state and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.
    • Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience and at least one (1) year of experience in a nursing leadership role.
    • Interest or experience in geriatrics.
    • Current BLS/CPR certification.
    • Experience with dementia population is desirable.
    • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
