Encore Village of Schaumburg is currently hiring for full-time, part-time, and per diem LPNs in our skilled nursing department. The primary role of the LPN is to perform day-to-day nursing activities in the provision of direct resident care. LPNs perform these duties within the scope of practice that they are licensed to perform. All nursing activities must be performed in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines and regulations that govern our facility, including the policies and procedures of the organization.
Job Description
- Performs resident assessment through use of direct physical assessment, behavior monitoring, various assessment forms, review of hospital records, laboratory results, resident medical records, and information provided by the interdisciplinary team, resident and/or the resident's significant others.
- Monitors residents for changes in condition that may indicate progress or deterioration in the resident's overall status. Notifies physicians and families of changes and transcribes orders received.
- Administers medications according to facility policy and monitors residents for therapeutic and adverse effects. Notifies physician and pharmacy of suspected and actual adverse reactions.
- Triages emergency situations and provides appropriate first aid in a timely manner. Completes appropriate reports and consults the ADON or charge nurse on duty.
Requirements
- Current LPN License within the State of Illinois
- Graduation from an accredited LPN program
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in long-term care or a skilled nursing facility
- Current CPR Card
