Senior Accountant
Are you seeking an accounting role that offers professional growth and better work-life balance? As a Senior Accountant, you'll support our communities or corporate departments with general ledger entries, account analysis, reconciliations, and reporting, while maintaining an environment of strong accounting controls. In this role, you will handle more complex accounting transactions and ensure strong customer satisfaction by providing accurate and timely reporting. As an emerging leader, you'll support other staff members in their training and development, as well as review work prepared by staff accountants.
Job Description
- Maintain General Ledger (dollars and statistics) for assigned lines of business and communities.
- Prepare journal entries and white papers to record and document complex accounting transactions, such as investments, bond transactions, and swaps.
- Reconcile complex bank and balance sheet accounts.
- Review the bank and balance sheet reconciliations prepared by staff accountants.
- Resolve outstanding items on account reconciliations in conjunction with other departments as necessary.
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of assigned month-end financial reports, including reviewing reports for unusual trends, comparing current month results to the prior month, and investigating trends.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a corporate accounting or related position/similar industry (Education will be considered in lieu of experience).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
- Previous experience with real estate development is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or other general ledger system is a plus.

Compensation
$80,000 - $95,000 per year, plus eligibility for annual bonus.
