Location: Chattanooga, TN
Job Description:
- Supervise all clinical staff members in an Erlanger-owned physician practice
- Perform in-office patient procedures under the supervision of practice physicians
- Oversee clinical and patient flow activities, maintaining proper scheduling requirements
- Recommend hiring, termination, and necessary disciplinary actions for clinical personnel
- Provide direct and indirect patient care to promote an effective learning environment
- Supervise patient triaging functions
- Serve as lead OSHA representative
- Maintain DNV compliance standards in all clinical areas
- Collaborate with the Director in establishing yearly clinical budgets
- Manage financial and cost-effective stocking of clinical supplies, medications, and equipment
- Maintain appropriate charge levels for patient evaluations, outpatient procedures, and medical supply charges
- Support general practice operations in collaboration with the Director
- Maintain patient confidentiality in all phases of the clinical area
Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Minimum three years in a health/medical setting
- Two years of supervisory experience
- Current license to practice Nursing in the State of Tennessee
- BLS completed prior to employment start and maintained
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- Minimum two years in a physician's practice
- Knowledge of medical billing, including CPT and ICD 9 & 10 coding
- Valid license to practice registered nursing in the State of Georgia in addition to Tennessee
Professional Development:
- Participate in the practice's quality improvement process and performance evaluation
- Coordinate care for patients and support patients/families/caregivers in self-management, self-efficacy, and behavior change
Department Summary:
This position oversees clinical and patient flow activities for the physician office, including staffing requirements for the main and East Radiation Clinics. Responsibilities include recommending hiring, termination, and disciplinary actions for clinical personnel. Provide direct and indirect patient care under the direction of practice physicians to foster an effective learning and training environment.
