Fairview Health Services is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to join our Long Term Acute Care Respiratory Therapy team at our Fairview Community Health and Wellness Hub in St. Paul, MN. We're offering a $9,000 sign-on bonus!
Job Description
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services as prescribed by a physician.
- Follow defined treatment protocol according to department policies.
- Collect, assess, interpret, and intervene as appropriate in the care of neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Ensure patient welfare and safety standards during treatments.
- Assess patient needs and identify expected outcomes.
- Implement respiratory interventions based on the plan of care.
- Evaluate care and the patient's response to interventions and expected outcomes.
- Deliver care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patient population or individual patient.
- Use communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes.
- Operate and maintain all respiratory care equipment.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field.
- Respiratory Therapist License issued by the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). New Graduates must complete their RRT within 6 months of hire. Those with Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) must have 3 or more years of respiratory therapist experience in a clinical setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field.
- At least 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience in a clinical setting.
Schedule
This position will be working 0.6 FTE (48 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 12 hours on the day and night shift. This position will also work a rotation for every other weekend. The schedule for this role is three 12-hour night shifts and one 12-hour day shift per pay period with the day shift being every other Sunday.
Shift Differential Incentives
- $4.00/hr for nights
- $2.00/hr for weekends
