Occupational Therapist
In this role, you will be responsible for the evaluation and management of our therapy patients. This includes identifying patient functional limitations, creating therapy plans of care, delivering patient treatments, and coordinating care with the rest of the therapy team.
Our Hand/Occupational Therapy department is a strong and rising group of Certified Hand Therapists (CHTs) providing top-notch therapy to a variety of orthopedic conditions and injuries. The close relationship with our Hand and Upper Extremity Team Surgeons makes this the ideal job for someone looking for a career in hand/occupational therapy that requires flexibility, compassion, attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, strong splinting skills, and critical thinking skills.
Job Description
- Evaluate and manage therapy patients, identifying functional limitations and creating therapy plans of care
- Deliver patient treatments and coordinate care with the therapy team
- Work closely with hand surgeons to provide top-notch therapy
- Collaborate with a diverse team of clinicians dedicated to excellence in patient care
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy education program
- Certified from NBCOT as an Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR)
- Currently licensed by the state of Florida
- Minimum of three years of experience in an outpatient hand therapy setting in close association with a hand surgeon
- Strong splinting skillset; either has obtained or is working towards certification as a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT)
