Assistant Director of Nursing (Registered Nurse - RN)

Join our team at Forest City Nursing and Rehab! We are seeking a Full-Time Assistant Director of Nursing (Registered Nurse - RN) to lead our skilled nursing facility in Forest City, PA. This position primarily offers a 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM schedule, with possible flexibility for other shifts. Salary is negotiable based on experience.

Job Description

• Oversee the operation of the Nursing Service Department, ensuring the highest standards of care.
• Collaborate with the admissions team to interview and screen residents.
• Review documentation to maintain compliance with treatment plans and medication administration.
• Support the Resident Assessment/Care Plan Coordinator in managing MDS processes and implementing care strategies.
• Facilitate orientation for new team members and provide ongoing training for current staff.
• Organize and schedule in-service training sessions with industry speakers.
• Maintain training schedules and ensure all required in-services are completed annually.
• Document and maintain accurate records of training activities.

Requirements

• Must be a Registered Nurse in the state.
• A minimum of two years of supervisory experience in long-term care, hospitals, or related settings.
• Familiarity with state and federal regulations.
• Experience with the geriatric population is preferred.
