Assistant Director of Nursing

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) assists in the management, coordination, and maintenance of an efficient, productive, and organized nursing department. In the absence of the Director of Nursing (DON), the ADON shall have administrative authority over and responsibility for the functions and activities of the nursing department. The ADON demonstrates knowledge of and delivers care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state in which employed. The ADON is a member of the Nursing Administrative team.
