    Occupational Therapist

    We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team in Parker, AZ for a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing therapeutic interventions to help patients achieve their maximum potential in daily activities. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including those in home health, outpatient settings, and schools. The Occupational Therapist will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals through tailored care plans. The Occupational Therapist will see on average 10-12 patients per day.

    Job Description

    • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical and mental capabilities to determine their needs.
    • Develop individualized treatment plans that address specific goals and objectives.
    • Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' functional abilities and independence.
    • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care and effective case management.
    • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and strategies for improvement.
    • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care, progress notes, and treatment outcomes.
    • Stay current with best practices in occupational therapy, including knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

    Requirements

    • A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
    • Valid state licensure or certification as required by local regulations.
    • 1+ years of experience in patient care settings such as home health, outpatient clinics, or schools is preferred.
    • Knowledge of early intervention techniques and occupational health practices is advantageous.
    • Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and case management principles.
    • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
    • Ability to create comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
