We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our team to give back to America's heroes and help them receive their well-deserved Veterans Affairs (VA) benefits in Bangor.

Job Description

• Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye diseases. No refraction required.
• Diagnose visual disorders and document findings.
• Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and medical terminology.
• Utilize systems for managing patient appointments and medical records efficiently.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid state license to practice optometry. Maine license required.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy related to the visual system and common ocular diseases.
• Familiarity with medical records management systems is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and patient interaction.
• Previous assessment experience preferred, but not required.

Benefits

• Part-time position, 1-2 days per week.
• Pay: $850.00 - $900.00 per day.
• Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week.
• Schedule: 8 hour shift, day shift, Monday to Friday. No nights or weekends.

Work Location

In person in Bangor, ME 04401. Relocation before starting work is required.
