    RN Nurse Manager

    We are looking for a RN Nurse Manager with Substance Use Disorder/Mental Health/Harm Reduction experience preferred at our 1306 Spring Garden St. Program. Gaudenzia is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Nurse Manager for our Spring Garden facility, which promotes a friendly work environment and a team-oriented philosophy. As the full-time Nurse Manager, you are responsible for the supervision of 13-15 nursing staff (RNs, LPNs), the nursing care provided, and related administrative and nursing activities.     Job Description

    • Supervise, train, and educate nursing staff assigned to the team or region.
    • Develop, implement, and monitor training needs and plans of the nursing staff and oversee medical documentation/electronic health record (EHR) use.
    • Ensure that clients' nursing assessments, medical care, and comprehensive physical examinations are completed within the timeframe dictated by level of care, licensing, and regulatory entities.
    • Administer medications, as well as supervise the self-administered medications where appropriate and allowed by regulation.
    • Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and accurate records in compliance with governing regulations and agency policy; complete monthly medication administration records (MAR) audits and narcotic counts.
    • Coordinate medication-assisted treatment (MAT).
    • Act as a liaison between the program and prescribers; ensure that clients have appropriate medical coverage to guarantee safety, adequate care, and provider compliance for payment.
    • Ensure proper storage of medical supplies as required by regulation, including narcotic medication according to DEA guidelines.
    • Develop and implement health seminars for staff on topics such as HIV/AIDS, nutrition, medication education, infectious diseases, mental health, etc., and counsel clients on nutrition, health care, self-care, symptom management, etc.
    • Participate and provide leadership in treatment/multidisciplinary team meetings; participate in medical CQI and prescriber peer review.

    Requirements

    • Substance Use Disorder/Mental Health experience preferred.
    • Supervisory experience required.
    • Education: Degree from an accredited college or university professional nursing program; must possess current RN license in good standing for the applicable state.
    • Experience: Minimum of 5 years nursing experience, with 2 years of experience treating individuals with substance use, mental health, or other related disorders.
    • Management: Minimum of 1 year experience supervising health care worker(s).
