LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - Express Care Clinic

Join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Express Care Clinic located in Scranton, Pennsylvania. This full-time position offers an opportunity to provide primary clinical support to the provider, patients, and their families, assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of various conditions.

Job Description

• Obtain and document patient medical history, chief complaint, vital signs, and provide a basic medical database for the provider, preparing patients for examinations.
• Provide direct clinical care as directed by the provider.
• Assist the provider in performing minor surgical diagnostic procedures and ancillary diagnostic examinations to facilitate accurate diagnosis.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and complete associated paperwork to expedite laboratory studies with maximum accuracy and efficiency.
• Execute and document ongoing patient communication as directed by the provider, prioritize communication to the provider, and respond to patient questions and requests to ensure efficient use of provider time and timely response to patient needs.
• Administer medications and vaccines including intradermal and skin testing under the direction of a provider and per scope of practice.
• Clean and set up examination and treatment rooms between cases, ensuring required levels of asepsis, availability of appropriate instruments and equipment, and preparation of patients.

Position Details

• Hiring Incentive: This position qualifies for a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid over two years. Certain stipulations do apply.
• Hours: 40 hours per week; clinic hours are typically Monday through Friday 9:00 AM - 8:00 PM and Saturday and Sunday 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Rotation weekends.
• Travel: Minimal travel, if needed.

Requirements

• Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Nursing (Required).
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience (Preferred).
• Licensed Practical Nurse - Default Issuing Body; Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body.
