    Job Description:

    A plastic surgeon deals with the repair, reconstruction, or replacement of physical defects involving the skin, musculoskeletal system, craniomaxillofacial structures, hands, extremities, breasts and trunk, and external genitalia. They use aesthetic surgical principles to improve undesirable qualities of normal structures as well as in reconstructive procedures. A plastic surgeon possesses special knowledge and skill in the design and surgery of grafts, flaps, free-tissue transfer, and replantation. Competence in managing complex wounds, the use of implantable materials, and tumor surgery is required.

    • The Plastic Surgery Department at Geisinger has an opening for a BE/BC Plastic Surgeon.
    • Geisinger is seeking plastic surgeons to join our team in central or northeastern Pennsylvania.
    • Services include general plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, microsurgical and implant-based breast reconstruction, maxillofacial trauma, cancer/trauma reconstruction, and cleft/craniofacial care.
    • Integrated plastic surgery residency provides opportunities for teaching, research, and program development.
    • Established reconstructive and cosmetic referral base geared towards building a thriving practice.
    • Supported by an excellent team of physician assistants, nurses, and staff.
    • Collaborate closely with multiple disciplines throughout the system.
    • Opportunity to lead our accredited cleft program for those interested in cleft care.

    Requirements:

    • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required)
