    Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

    Job Description:

    • Plan, coordinate, and provide total nursing care for residents.
    • Provide supervision and guidance to clinical staff members.
    • Review physician orders weekly and quarterly.
    • Review medication administration records and identify discrepancies.
    • Assess psychotropic medications for appropriateness.
    • Perform nursing assessments and evaluations as requested.
    • Conduct clinical assessments to identify wellness potential.
    • Assist physicians with special tests and procedures.
    • Promote effective inter/intra-departmental communication.
    • Teach medication administration as needed.
    • Maintain Tuberculin test records for residents and staff.
    • Review medication administration errors and suggest corrections.
    • Ensure infection control and safety policies are followed.
    • Implement, review, and revise resident service plans.
    • Assist personnel and residents in creating a home-like atmosphere.
    • Review the facility's physical environment and request repairs.
    • May supervise other care staff.

    Requirements:

    • Valid LPN license in the state employed and in good standing.
    • Valid CPR certification.
    • Ability to read, write, communicate, and follow instructions in English.
    • Experience in the delivery of health services.
    • Supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership skills.
    • Willingness to work with the elderly.

    Physical Demands:
