Job Description

• Provide quality nursing care to residents in an environment that promotes resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality while providing individualized attention.
• Answer signal lights.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, toiletry, and oral hygiene activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Serve and collect food trays and feed residents requiring help.
• Transport residents using a wheelchair or wheeled cart, or assist residents to walk.
• Turn and re-position residents, alone or with assistance.
• Take and record vital signs, food and fluid intake and output, and weight, as directed.
• Complete documentation.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold current CNA Certification in the state of employment.
• A minimum of three months' prior Nursing Assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR.

• Communicate and interact effectively and tactfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.
