    Licensed Practical Nurse (Travel LPN)

    Location: Le Mars, IA

    Job Description:

    • Support multiple locations within 150 miles of your permanent address
    • Mileage reimbursement
    • Additional $5 per hour float premium
    • Additional $1.25 per hour weekend shift differential
    • Additional $1.25 per hour evening/night shift differential; 6:00pm - 6:00am
    • Required to work at least 24 hours per month
    • Required to work at least one weekend shift per month
    • Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting
    • Demonstrates competency and practices within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge
    • Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
    • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with resident, health care providers, and the public
    • Counsels residents, family members and/or resident advocate on prevention and treatment plans

    Requirements:

    • 3-month previous experience in Long Term Care required, 6 months preferred
    • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
    • Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
    • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
    • Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility

    Professional Development:

    • Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility
