    Chief of Endocrinology

    Hartford HealthCare, Connecticut's largest and most comprehensive integrated health system, is seeking an experienced, fellowship-trained Endocrinologist to serve as Chief of Endocrinology for our East Region, based in Norwich, CT. This is a high-impact physician leadership opportunity within a thriving Diabetes and Endocrinology program, offering the autonomy of a close-knit practice model combined with the scale, resources, and infrastructure of a statewide health system.

    Job Description

    • Provide on-site supervision of endocrinology providers and diabetes educators, including annual evaluations and privileging
    • Partner with the Administrative Director on day-to-day operations and performance management
    • Lead strategic planning, program development, and service line growth, including physician recruitment
    • Oversee quality, safety, and risk management initiatives for inpatient and ambulatory endocrine services
    • Implement and align inpatient and outpatient protocols with system-wide HHC Endocrinology Service Line standards
    • Participate in endocrine councils, quality committees, and regional leadership forums

    Clinical Environment

    • Manage a broad spectrum of general endocrinology disorders, including complex diabetes care
    • Team-based, patient-centered approach focused on diabetes prevention, metabolic health, and chronic disease management
    • Robust multispecialty collaboration across radiology, surgery, oncology, and hospital medicine
    • Strong referral base within a large, established integrated network

    Requirements

    • Fellowship-trained Endocrinologist
    • Board eligible or board certified
    • Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Connecticut
    • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience preferred
    • Prior leadership experience strongly desired
