    Job Description

    • Provides direct patient care in the IMC unit using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
    • Develops nursing care plan in coordination with patient, family, and interdisciplinary staff as necessary.
    • Communicates changes in patient's clinical condition with Physicians, Nursing Supervisor/Manager, and co-workers as appropriate.
    • Provides appropriate care for patients moved from ICU to IMC, utilizing critical care skills and professionalism.
    • May float to Med/Surg floor or may float to ICU/ED if trained (experienced).

    Requirements

    • Current Arizona RN license and possess an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school.
    • Bachelor of Science (BSN) preferred.
    • Basic Life Support certification required at hire (once ACLS obtained, BCLS no longer required).
    • EKG Course, Moderate Sedation, and NIHSS Stroke within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter.
    • Advance Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 60 days of hire.
    • PALS and TNCC required within 6 months of hire.
    • Minimum of one (1) year Med/Surg/Telemetry required. IMC or ICU preferred.
