Emergency Medicine Physician

We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated locum tenens physician specializing in Emergency Medicine for an ongoing opportunity near Cloquet, MN. This is an excellent chance to join a newly established emergency department that opened in 2020, providing top-notch care to patients in a supportive and well-resourced environment.

Job Description

• Specialty: Emergency Medicine

• Reason for Coverage: Due to recent resignations and parental leave, there is an urgent need for additional coverage.
• Provider Type: Physician
• Request Type: Locum Tenens
• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only
• Practice Setting: Outpatient

Scheduling & Shifts

• Shift Length: 8-hour shifts (12-hour shifts are not available).
• Patient Load: Approximately 1-2 patients per hour.
• Holidays Covered: New Year's Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.
• Additional Support: Full support from specialists, mental health professionals, a designated trauma team, registered nurses (RNs), and an in-house pharmacy.

Requirements

• Board Certification: Physicians must be board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Licensure: Must be licensed in Minnesota or through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC).
• Hospital Privileges: Required, with temporary privileges available if necessary.
• Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days.
• Certifications Required: No additional certifications (ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, PALS) are required.
• EMR System: MediTech.
