Interventional Cardiologist

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Cardiologist for a locum tenens position near Hiltons, VA. This opportunity is ideal for a physician who is available to provide coverage for an extended period, offering a well-structured schedule and comprehensive support.

Job Description

• Coverage Type: Scheduled Clinical Hours Only
• Practice Setting: Inpatient
• EMR System: Athena & Meditech
• Shift Hours:
  • 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily
  • Cath Lab: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
  • Clinic: 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
• Dates Needed:
  • September
  • September 30 to October 4
  • October
  • November 4 to 8
  • November
  • December 2 to 6
  • December 9 to 13

Practice Details

• Patients Per Shift: 4-5
• Rounding: Assigned Patients
• License Requirement: Licensed in VA
• Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 30 days
• Temporary Privileges: Available
• Hospital Stroke Certification: Yes

• BLS: Not required
• PALS: Not required
• ABLS: Not required
• ATLS: Not required

Description/Other Details

The position involves working primarily in the Cath Lab and seeing consults on the units. The schedule includes:

• Orientation: First day only
• Cath Lab Work: 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
• Clinic Hours: 1:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Procedures and Equipment Used

• GE Cath Unit
• IVUS
• Balloon Pump
• TEE (Transesophageal Echocardiography)
• Stress Echo
• Thoracic Echo
• Nuclear Medicine Stress
