    Locum Tenens Emergency Medicine Physician

    Job Description

    • Treat patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, in a busy acute care hospital setting.
    • Craft a schedule that works for you with a variety of day, swing, night, and weekend shifts available.
    • Nights and weekends are in highest demand, but the opportunity to pick up additional shifts exists.
    • Standard shifts are eight hours (7:00 PM - 3:00 AM). Block scheduling options are not available.
    • Build a rewarding locum tenens career with a contract length ranging from 6 to 12 months.
    • Leverage your familiarity with Epic, the EMR system used at the facility.
    • Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients experiencing a variety of medical emergencies, injuries, and sudden illnesses.
    • Conduct thorough evaluations, develop treatment plans, and order necessary diagnostics.
    • Perform essential procedures as needed within your scope of practice.
    • Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to optimize patient care.
    • Admit patients for further evaluation or treatment when necessary.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the Epic EMR system.

    Requirements

    • Board certification in Emergency Medicine by the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or the American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM) is mandatory. Alternative board certifications are not accepted.
    • Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS to demonstrate your commitment to patient safety.
    • Valid Oklahoma medical license to practice medicine without restrictions.
    • Current DEA registration is required.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues.
    • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and make quick decisions.
