    Locum Tenens Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Physician

    We are seeking a dedicated Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity near Ellensburg, WA. This position is designed to provide coverage for elective and outpatient endoscopy procedures in an inpatient setting.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coverage Dates: Immediate start
    • Practice Setting: Inpatient
    • Patients Per Shift: 13-16
    • Procedures: Elective and outpatient endoscopies
    • Shift Hours: 8-hour shift starting at 7:30 AM
    • Cases: Up to 15 cases scheduled per day
    • Anesthesia Support: None; all cases are IV conscious sedation
    • Team: One room with two RNs (one for sedation, one for circulating)
    • Additional Duties: Communicating biopsy results to patients, coordinating referrals, follow-ups, and additional imaging

    Requirements

    • Board Certification: Required
    • Fellowship: Required
    • Licensure: Licensed in Washington or IMLC
    • Certifications: ACLS required, BLS not required
    • Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 45-60 days
    • Conscious Sedation Privileges: Required
    • EPIC Training: Required or successful test-out
