    Nocturnist Locum Tenens

    We are seeking a qualified Nocturnist to fill a locum tenens position near Sikeston, MO. This position provides an excellent opportunity for a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified physician to assist in covering scheduled clinical hours in an inpatient setting.     Job Description

    • Position Title: Nocturnist, Locum Tenens
    • Start Date: ASAP
    • End Date: Ongoing
    • Coverage Type: Scheduled clinical hours only (No Call)
    • Practice Setting: Inpatient only (No outpatient duties required)
    • Holiday Coverage: The physician will be required to work on major holidays, including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, and the 4th of July.
    • Shift Details: December 20th, 7 p.m. to December 29th, 7 a.m.
    • EMR System: EPIC (experience preferred)

    Responsibilities

    • Rounding: Both general rounding and admissions are required during shifts.
    • Admissions: Yes, physicians are required to admit patients during their shifts.
    • Privileges: No need for hospital or surgery center privileges.
    • Patients per Shift: Volume details are unspecified; however, hospitalists typically manage inpatient care across a variety of conditions.
    • Stroke Certification: Yes, the hospital is stroke certified, ensuring a high standard of care for critical cases.

    Requirements

    • Board Certification: Physicians must be either Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in their specialty.
    • Licensing: Physicians must be licensed to practice in the state of Missouri. There will be no reimbursement for licensing costs.
    • Certifications Required: Physicians are expected to hold all relevant certifications for hospital-based practice, including but not limited to Basic Life Support (BLS). However, specific advanced certifications like ACLS, ABLS, ATLS, and PALS are not required for this position.
    • Fellowship: A fellowship in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.
