    General Medicine Locum Tenens Opportunity near Highmore, SD

    Are you a dedicated General Medicine provider seeking a flexible opportunity to conduct Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments? We are currently seeking General Medicine Providers for locum coverage across the country, with positions available near Highmore, SD.

    Job Description

    • This position is on a PRN basis, offering flexibility to accommodate various schedules.
    • We welcome professionals from various backgrounds, including family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with experience in general medicine or compensation and pension exams.
    • Choose between traveling to perform exams at a leased facility and/or scheduling appointments within your own practice, providing autonomy and convenience.
    • Choose between days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours) to accommodate your preferences.
    • Conduct one-time non-treatment C&P exams and separation health assessments, primarily interview-based with some physical assessment including range of motion testing and muscle strength testing. No prescribing or treatment involved.
    • Benefit from a quick credentialing and onboarding process to expedite your start.
    • Certification available with the opportunity to earn CME credits. Obtain certification if not already privileged.
    • Utilize a Goniometer and your own personal laptop (no Macs) for examinations.
    • Comprehensive training provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
    • Submit completed DBQs within 48 hours upon exam completion, emphasizing completion of standardized forms rather than narrative reports.
    • Utilize the provider portal for streamlined evaluation processes.
    • Active participation in record reviews required to ensure comprehensive assessment and documentation.
    • Regular follow-up administrative tasks including addendums, medical opinions, and reading diagnostics to maintain thorough patient records.

    Requirements

    • Ensure board certification in your respective field.
    • South Dakota state license required.
