    Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine - Hematology & Oncology Physician

    We are currently seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine - Hematology & Oncology Physician for a locum tenens opportunity in northwestern Wisconsin, near Elk Mound. This long-term assignment is ideal for physicians looking for a balance of outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, offering full-time hours and a shared call schedule.

    Job Description

    • Specialty: Internal Medicine with a focus on Hematology & Oncology
    • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
    • Outreach Requirement: Coverage at a nearby facility 2 days per week (schedule TBD)
    • Call Schedule: Shared call, 2 weeks per month (one week at a time)
    • Procedures: Bone marrow biopsies, intrathecal chemotherapy
    • Team Support: Collaborate with a department that includes 3 nurse practitioners
    • Technology: Cerner EMR and IntelliDose TxM for treatment management
    • Radiation Oncology Services: Available onsite

    Patient Care and Responsibilities

    • Patient Load: 10-15 patients per shift
    • Practice Setting: Inpatient and outpatient care required
    • Supervision: Expected to supervise advanced practice providers (NPs, PAs)
    • Call Response Time: Must be within 30 minutes during on-call shifts
    • Privileges: Hospital and surgery center privileges required (temporary privileges available)

    Requirements

    • Board Certification: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine and Hematology/Oncology
    • Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ATLS
    • Credentialing Timeline: Approximately 60 days (if file is clean)
