General Surgeon

We are seeking a skilled General Surgeon for a locum tenens assignment at a healthcare facility in Nebraska, located near Genoa. This position offers the opportunity to provide critical surgical care within a supportive environment and join a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Job Description

• Provide 24/7 acute surgery and trauma surgery coverage
• Conduct daily rounds on all patients admitted to the general surgery and trauma services
• Manage consults and respond to patient needs as they arise
• Perform basic general surgery procedures and provide trauma care

Requirements

• Active Nebraska Medical License or IMLC (Letter of Qualification in hand)
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) Certification
• Completion of a General Surgery Residency; clean background and malpractice history
• Ability to provide a case log of at least 100 surgeries in the past 12 months, showcasing experience with a variety of cases

Schedule

• 24-hour shifts, including weekend availability
• Enhanced holiday rates apply
